The Women's and
Children's Hospital , a 72-bed all-private room facility offers
inpatient care for labor/delivery, women's elective surgery and children.
Women have a custom area-Women's Diagnostics-dedicated to imaging
services. Located at the North Campus, the modern facility includes
physician offices, a cafe, specialty retail shops and a learning
center. |
The hospital, which opened in 2005, includes dedicated
units for Labor/Delivery, Mother/Baby, Women's
Elective Surgery and Pediatrics. On the
first floor, physicians' offices, a learning center, cafe, community meeting
rooms and retail shops make visitors feel welcome with a wealth of
resources.
More than 2,000 families choose AnMed Health each year
for the birth of their child. Private, comfortable labor and delivery suites
have a sleeping area for the birth coach, in-room Jacuzzi® tubs and garden
views. The Level II Nursery allows qualified
neonatal staff to care for premature infants and those who may have respiratory
distress and require monitored care. The facility has two C-section
surgical suites for planned and emergency surgical procedures.
At the Mother/Baby unit, new parents can bond with their
baby with the support of nurses who offer guidance and support regarding infant
care, recovery from delivery and lactation advice.
The hospital's third floor offers inpatient services for
women undergoing elective surgical procedures, from uncomplicated tumor removal
to appendectomy. The Women's Surgical Unit offers a monitored and comfortable
recovery environment.
Children who require hospitalization are admitted to
"Camp Gonna Be Well," the colorful and upbeat pediatric unit. Nurses trained in
PALS help patients who range in age from infant to teens recover from surgical
procedures, respiratory distress and other illnesses.
