Typical conditions that can be treated at Minor Care
include:
- Colds, sore throats, upper respiratory infections,
bronchitis, "the flu"
- Minor injuries, such as bruises, joint sprains, muscle
strains, and simple broken bones
- Mild Asthma attacks, allergies, and rashes
- Uncomplicated urinary tract and gynecologic
infections
- Wounds and lacerations needing simple repair, including
sutures
- pediatric ear infections, "pinkeye", sinus infections,
and minor nosebleeds
When to use the Emergency Department at the Medical Center:
Illness and injuries that are life threatening or that require surgery of
hospitalization should be treated at AnMed Health
Emergency Department .
You should go the the Emergency Department if you are
experiencing:
- Chest pain
- Loss of consciousness
- Heavy bleeding
- Large open wounds
- Significant difficulty in breathing
- Severe headaches or abdominal pain
- Major trauma or substantial burns
- Sudden weakness or changes in vision
