The AnMed Health Family Medicine Residency Program is the primary sponsor of the sports medicine fellowship. It has been a well respected residency for over 30 years. Fellows participate in educating residents about orthopaedics and provide sports medicine services in several settings.

Blue Ridge Orthopaedics is our primary partner in the creation and continued management of the fellowship. With locations in Clemson and Anderson, Blue Ridge Orthopaedics is home to 12 orthopaedic surgeons and two primary care sports medicine physicians. Blue Ridge Orthopaedics provides care for 13 area high schools, three colleges and thousands of athletes in our area.

Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation is a fixture in the Upstate when it comes to physical therapy and athlete rehabilitation. The practice's physical therapists and trainers have worked with our fellows from the beginning and provide wonderful insight and training in their field

Clemson University is a Division I school with one of the finest athletic departments in the Southeast. Our faculty and orthopedic surgeons provide medical coverage for Clemson and include fellows in an assistant role. Fellows attend as many events as they would like, but some of the most high risk events are required.

Anderson University is a Division II school with approximately 300 athletes. Caring for these athletes is the primary responsibility of our fellows during their tenure. Fellows work in the training room for two hours on Monday afternoons and four hours on Wednesday afternoons. Event coverage is based on risk of injury for physicians, and all events are covered by capable athletic trainers. We have a wonderful working relationship with the training staff and athletic department leadership.

Southern Wesleyan University is a smaller NAIA school in Central. Fellows are available in the training room for approximately two hours on Monday afternoons. We work with a trainer from Clemson Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation who arranges for athlete visits.
