Kids' Care

AnMed Health Kids' Care

Every parent has been there. It's after 5 p.m. or it's the weekend, and your child needs to see a doctor now. Do you call? Do you wait? Kids are unpredictable and so are their needs. AnMed Health Kids' Care provides immediate treatment for life's minor illnesses and injuries. There's no appointment necessary and the Kids' Care staff is specially trained to care for children and teens. Whether it's a bump or bruise, a cough or cold, Kids' Care is a convenient and reliable resource when your child's illness is not life threatening but still needs medical attention.

Although Kids' Care accepts Medicaid, most major insurance plans, minor care co-pays and self pay patients, our costs tend to be higher than a pediatric practice. For this and other reasons, Kids' Care is not a substitute for your regular pediatrician's office and should only be used when your child's regular doctor is unavailable.

AnMed Health Kids' CareHours and Location

Kids' Care is located on the AnMed Health North Campus at Entrance A of the Oglesby Center. We're open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. No appointment necessary.

When to Go To the Emergency Room

Kids' Care is not an emergency room. If you child experiences any of the following symptoms or injuries, please call 911 immediately.

  • Chest pain
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe headache or abdominal pain
  • Major trauma or burns
  • Sudden weakness or change in vision
Kids' Care is staffed by board certified pediatricians. Our staff does not treat adults, but AnMed Health Minor Care at the Medical Center Campus provides a similar walk-in environment for grown-ups 18 and older. Minor Care is located at 600 North Fant St. in Anderson.
