Weight loss surgery success requires a lifelong commitment to wellness—an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthier lifestyle. It is an ongoing process of development that takes personal initiative.
At AnMed Health, we know that lifestyle change is not easy, but we can help with support and community programs. From dedicated dietitians and nutritional guidance to personal training and custom exercise programs to support groups and community events, we are in this together.
If gym facilities seem intimidating or overwhelming, ask about AnMed Health LifeChoice, our on-site, cardiac rehabilitation exercise facility. With a surgery center physician’s referral, weight loss surgery patients have access to this state-of-the-art program. Registered nurses, exercise physiologists, fitness instructors and registered dietitians will customize your plan for achieving weight loss goals.
Our weight loss surgery support group meets on the fourth Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. every month in the LifeChoice classroom. And we also have connections with First Flight Alliance, a running club that provides encouragement and motivation.
Along with exercise, developing a healthy relationship with food is also critical for initial weight loss success and maintaining a healthy weight. AnMed Health has a registered dietitian on staff, dedicated to helping our weight loss surgery patients.
Dietitian services include one-on-one counseling, nutritional classes, meal planning, pre/post-op classes, grocery store tours, and follow-up with post-op patients.
